A set of six original hand-dipped suminagashi bookmarks, each backed with Fabriano cardstock and finished with a handmade tassel made with GOTS-certified string.
Suminagashi, or “floating ink,” is the traditional Japanese art of floating ink on water and setting onto paper a fluid design formed on the water’s surface.
Each bookmark is created individually by hand in the Hudson Valley using water drawn from the Esopus Creek.
Each set contains six unique patterns. No two bookmarks are alike.
